Fraser really helped me gain confidence in my driving. He aided me in working out all the flaws in my driving without losing his patience at all. He is very friendly and gave me useful advice to getting through the driving test nerves. Each lesson was extremely well structured and allowed me to make great advances lesson-to-lesson. He also was useful in asking for my input to any areas I wanted more practice in. I recommend Fraser for future drivers, especially if, like me, they were slightly anxious about the test.

Not having driven a car during the pandemic, I took a couple of double-hour driving lessons to get back on the road as a safe driver and confidently use a car for my job again. Fraser took me through the latest Highway Code changes, different roads and speeds, and all sorts of traffic situations. His training style was well-measured, with new information (and driving challenges!) at a good pace. I can highly recommend Fraser as an instructor for people in my situation.

I passed my test with only one minor. Fraser was amazing at building my confidence while driving and ensured that I was ready to take my test. Fraser is patient and encouraging while learning to drive or getting back into the swing of things. I wouldn't have felt as confident and comfortable as I did during my test if I didn't have Fraser as my instructor.

Fraser was perfect. He's very professional and I enjoyed every minute of being taught by him because he is so friendly, kind and caring. We would always have great conversations too which really relaxed me when driving, which for me really helped on my test because I would pretend that I was with Fraser when having conversations with the examiner. He is very skilled and patient when it comes to driving and is brilliant at building confidence.

When test day came, I was quite nervous, but Fraser really reassured me, and I passed my driving test first try.

Having tried multiple driving instructors, I cannot stress enough how important it is to find the right one. I found Frasers website after the first lockdown when I was considering returning to learning to drive. Although he had a bit of a waiting list, he worked hard to get me started as soon as possible. As soon as I had my first lesson with him I knew I had made the right choice. Fraser is an excellent instructor, with lots of patience and very friendly manner. He always made me feel safe and at ease when I was behind the wheel, the lessons moved at a good pace, and I always felt like I was learning. Fraser is a brilliant driving instructor. Lessons were effective and taught driving competence whilst boosting confidence. Lessons were always with purpose and never felt unnecessary. Fraser was also flexible in fitting lessons in around school hours, yet still reasonably priced. Would greatly recommend lessons with Fraser.

Fraser managed to improve my driving in many ways by encouraging good behaviours and gently correcting my not so good ones. This led me to getting a pass with only three minors. Without a doubt, I would highly recommend Mr Sparks as an instructor. He is incredibly patient, supportive and so easy to get on with. Every lesson he helped me to feel relaxed and confident about driving, which is something many first time drivers can find difficult to do. Fraser made driving very comfortable for me by taking me on most roads in my area varying every week allowing me to go out feeling confident of the area when I go out on my own once passed. After a horrible experience with a five day driving course I was completely put off driving, I then turned to Fraser for practical lessons and his way of teaching completely turned me around. Fraser Sparks is an incredible instructor who tailors the lessons so that you feel comfortable. He offers the freedom for you to pick what to work on next which I found really enjoyable as I could pick what I felt my weaknesses were. After failing two driving tests over 20 years ago and really wanting to try again, Fraser was recommended to me by a work colleague. His calm, friendly manner put me at ease immediately and he made me believe in myself right from my first lesson to the test centre today!

Fraser is a brilliant driving instructor. I had five different instructors before him, some good and some not-so-much, but I never managed to feel comfortable and competent when driving. Having always been extremely nervous behind the wheel, I took about four exams in less than six months and I failed all of them. That really knocked my confidence even further, despite being told I can drive and despite the numerous hours (70-80) of practice. Having taken me a total of over two years of learning, Fraser was my sixth and final instructor that managed to concise all the knowledge in my head in just over two months. He did this in the following way:

Value for money
Fraser charges fairly. He will not sell you the idea that ‘you get more if you pay more’. His rates are consistent and average with other instructors’ rates, but he will not waste your time (and your money) sitting you on the side of the road and talking for lengthy periods of time.

Helpful tools
Occasionally, Fraser will provide links to video material that complement your lessons. I only watched two or three of those but I found them extremely helpful! This is because these tools were shared with me at a time Fraser knew these will be useful. In comparison, previously I used to watch hours of driving tuition tutorials online and none of that helped.

Commitment and accountability
Fraser outlines boundaries for the lessons right from the first time he meets you. Commitment and accountability is expected both ways. For example, he took money off a lesson once as he was late due to traffic. Similarly, I was late once and I still paid the full price for my lesson, which is totally fair.

Structure
Fraser plans and discusses each lesson with you. He keeps a log of each and every lesson, but his methods are not rigid. He is flexible enough and offers guidance each time, encouraging you to participate in the planning and making decisions. Despite not knowing what is best for me, I felt this was quite empowering and I was able to eventually say what I wanted to practice on or what I didn’t understand.

Feedback
All of the feedback I received from Fraser was something I was looking forward to. Whilst historically I felt anxious during lessons, due to feeling the instructor’s frustration with me or being overly critical, Fraser offers fair and realistic feedback about improving your skills.

Professionalism
I am not comfortable sitting next to strangers, in a car or elsewhere. Fraser conducts himself in a very professional yet relaxed manner, so I felt at ease and comfortable myself.

Advice for the future
After I passed my test, Fraser provided me with leaflets and information on insurance, places in the city I can get my car checked and other helpful advice.

In summary, I passed my test first time with him with only two minors. The first time I got in my own car, four days after I passed my test, I had two adults and a small child at the back. Confidence much?

Fraser is a very relaxed instructor who helped me get the pass! He really helped me regain my confidence and become a safer driver. I highly recommend him to anyone looking to learn or come back to it after a break from driving. Thank you!

Fraser was a great instructor, he would always be flexible with lesson times and would be very helpful during lessons and out of lessons. He would send links and videos across to me to help me with my driving experience and I cannot thank him enough helping me learn to drive. He is very easy to talk to and made me feel comfortable in my first couple lessons. Would strongly recommend Fraser to anybody who is looking an informative instructor who makes you feel comfortable behind the wheel. Before my driving test he helped me to feel calm and prepare effectively for my test. Thank you Fraser!

Fraser is an absolutely brilliant driving instructor, I had hours of driving before on a provisionsal license but Fraser taught me everything I needed to know, and very quickly and efficiently. Had confidence in me the whole time which helped me pass so quickly, would recommend to every one wanting to pass quickly and thoroughly.

Fraser was very patient and guided me through the learning process, which helped me prepare for my test and to make it go as smoothly as possible. He provided me with different resources which would not only help with the practical but also come in very handy with the theory. He planed every lesson before hand and was always clear each lesson what we would be doing. When I first started with Fraser I had low confidence, but my confidence got better and better each week.
